Marc Backhaus

Skies will always be full of flies

Sometimes I don't feel so strong
Sometimes I want to belong to somebody
Sometimes I don't want to be
what is expected of me, I'll just stay small
lounging around here.

Don't you ever betray your love
Don't you ever betray yourself
Stay by your side through flood & tide
through draught that draws endlessly along.

Skies will always be full of flies
but also of breath and of life
The air smashes my face
the lonely disgrace I feel it's time
To leave it behind.
