Come
 
 
Come over, I have a little room
to stay and a bed for sleep.
Come when the violets are in bloom
in the forests deep.
When spring
makes sing
the  little bird
and sheep
will leap
amidst the herd.
 
 
Come over when cold winter fled
and left the world to glee,
when summer’s pleasures are ahead
and honey gathers the bee.
When night
is light
and short is dawn
there’s chance
to dance
on the green lawn.
 
 
O come, I promise you joy and fun
on the lake and in the wood
when rosy flowers glow in the sun
around the neighbourhood.
O come
for some
bright cheerful days
long ere
the year
walks darker ways.
