Stefanie Haertel

I will never say goodbye

I will never say goodbye
there´s no need to do it
I still feel your hand in mine
still hear your voice
on the answering machine
you are still here
I know you would have wanted
to be still a part of my life
and in my world

I wish I saved you
but I know there are these times
when I gladly look back on the past
I´m so thankful
I see what I had
it gives me strength
to live on
you are still in my life
and in my world

I will see
I will go on
I will hear
love, learn, forgive myself

but I´ll never say goodbye
there´s no need to do it
because you are not gone
you are in everything I am
in everything I was and will be

You´ll always be with me
I see your images
feel your  presence
no matter what I experience
you´re always a part of it
I love you

There´s no need to say goodbye
