Zul Ariffin

For My Friend

It’s been 5 years since you passed on.
I recall you telling us, “ Go on the front and drive”
Well, all of us are grown up now
But your words will echo always and on

You taught us to play well
And to play the game with grace
Little that we know that
The dear Lord wants you in His Grace

If I could change anything,
I would express how much you meant to us
During our youth, we were ignorant
To appreciate that God loves you more than us.

I look at your pictures.
Tears seemed to accompany me
But I console myself that,
Heaven would be perfect for thee
