SILLY THINGS

Oh silly things like picnics or walking in the rain

The magic of a bike ride or strolling down a lane

Holding hands and laughter or kissing in the snow

Sitting by an open fire and watching embers glow

OH THE NICEST THINGS THAT WE DO IN LIFE

ARE THE SIMPLE THINGS THAT WE DO NOT PLAN

NOT EXPENSIVE THINGS WE CAN’T AFFORD

BUT THE LITTLE THINGS WE KNOW WE CAN

SO WON’T YOU LISTEN TO MY ADVICE

JUST ENJOY THE THINGS WE HAVE FOR FREE

OH THE GRASS IS ALWAYS NOT AS GREEN

AS YOU SOMETIMES THINK THE GRASS MAY BE

OH THE NICEST THINGS THAT WE DO IN LIFE

ARE THE SIMPLE THINGS THAT WE DO NOT PLAN

NOT EXPENSIVE THINGS WE CAN’T AFFORD

BUT THE LITTLE THINGS WE KNOW WE CAN
