Children Of the Stars

Children of the stars

It is time for you to collect water.

Come little ones,

Await your star to shine.

In this waterless sea

You are the lifeline.

The town appears below us,

A place only in our minds.

The moon rises above the dunes,

Too cold by night.

The sun burns like fire,

Too hot by day.

Under a shady doorway

You look out upon naked lands.

Fiercely proud.

Even when God came

You did not kneel.

You are and will forever be

The Children Of The Stars.
