Meike Schrut

Ite, missa est

(lat.: „Go, it is a dismissal!“)
at the end of the holy mass -

Oh, it does not call please blasphemy
If I dismissed myself
From that holy mass
Since every day I find a reason
To ask
If I do not go, I cannot be dismissed
If I have not belonged, I may not say "amen"?!
There are so many gods
As it seems
I allow myself to believe in some gods and to
Hope
I have decided for myself
The fact that I enter seldom enough the holy church space
Associations come along too fast
And hurt dreadfully.
Not only if one saw, that only in the film
The miracles to the truth become quite fast
It also hurts
O still
If those which one loved have gone too early
And it cannot be that this a God determines.
