5-Day-Spider

Last Tuesday evening I was walking in the park, close to our house. There was a full moon that night and some stars were twinkling silently. Suddenly something was falling down from the sky to the bushes not far away. I looked to the firmament and around but there was nobody. So I did a great mistake, went to the undergrowth and picked up a golden cube, lying there in the grass.

You know, gold is not cheap and so I decided to put this precious object in my pocket. All of a sudden, there was an elderly woman standing in front of me. I was scared and her eyes were staring at me as if a beast would look at his prey. She spoke to me in a language I did not understand and pointed at my pocket. I did not hesitate for a moment, handed her the cube over and then she whispered:

“Five days of punishment!”

She disappeared and so did I. Instantly I was a spider, small, black and hairy. And I can tell you, my gym shoes are huge, especially when you are a spider and have landed in them. After having managed to get out of these, I decided to go home. I asked myself a thousand questions on the way. Five days? My wife would call the police. And what about my young daughter? And what if I some bird is declaring me his meal? Will I be a man again? Am I naked?

After arriving at my house, I entered through the bathroom window, left ajar. The bathroom was a bad idea. White tiles, black spider, that does not work. Particularly not when your daughter is afraid of spiders and she is silently doing her hair.

So she saw me and went screaming to my wife. I decided to go to the loft upstairs. What else could I do? It’s a very odd situation. Actually, I am a man in a body of a spider. However, I am not a super-hero in a red and blue costume. It took me two days building my own web on the entablature and I am damn proud of it. I should maybe write a story about my little adventure.
