Heide Lorek

Autumn

Autumn is lowering his hand
With a casual gesture
And the falling leaves in the wood
Are covering the shivering earth
And a manis settling down
So jaded under one of the trees
Chased throughout his ephemeral life
And his livid limps are trembling
And the leaves are falling
Softly in the sleeping wood
Not knowing that they are a tool
In God’s celestial hands
And they are covering his life
With velvet serenity
Hiding soon his dying
And his loneliness
