Petali di rosa della memoria

.
Lì,
all’ombra dei vecchi alberi,
ben al riparo dal sole,
scorre ancora l’acqua
E ricorda:
che la tua anima è come un giardino
e tu sei il giardiniere
dei tuoi pensieri e dei tuoi sentimenti;
fai attenzione
che la rabbia, l’invidia e la brama non
soffochino e soffochino
l’amore, la benevolenza e la sobrietà»

Il sentiero sinuoso di ghiaia conduce
giù verso il vecchio pergolato
dove le tue amate rose rampicanti
continuano a arrampicarsi
e ora stanno lentamente appassendo
Nei miei ricordi,
vedo davanti a me le tue grandi mani
mentre posavi le lastre di pietra,
mani che per così tanto tempo
ci hanno sostenuto e protetto
e che erano sempre così calde.
Guarda,
le pietre del selciato
sono tutte ricoperte di petali di rosa,
vorrei spazzarli via con la scopa,
ma non ci riesco,
che sia il vento a farlo, il vento.

There,
in the shade of the old trees,
well protected from the sun,
the water still flows
from a hidden spring,
from which we used to drink as children
For many years,
the rusty garden gate remained locked,
but it creaks just like it used to
when I open it
and think of your words:
“When you’re sad or angry,
listen to the babbling of the stream,
watch the birds bathe in it
and the bees buzz around the lavender.
Let your gaze wander into the distance,
for no matter how hard life
may sometimes be,
always see the beauty as well.
And remember:
your soul is like a garden,
and you are the gardener
of your thoughts and feelings
take care
that anger, envy, and greed do not
overgrow and suffocate
love, goodwill, and contentment.”

The winding gravel path leads
down to the old garden arbor
where your beloved climbing roses
still wind their way upward
and are now slowly fading
In my memory,
I see your large hands before me
as you laid the stone slabs,
hands that held and carried us
for so long
and that were always so warm.
Just look,
the paving stones
are completely covered with rose petals;
I want to sweep them away with the broom,
but I can’t
let the wind do it, the wind.

Dort,
im Schatten der alten Bäume
vor der Sonne gut geschützt
fließt noch immer das Wasser
aus einer versteckten Quelle,
aus der wir schon als Kinder tranken
Viele Jahre,
blieb das rostige Gartentor verschlossen
aber es knarrt wie früher
als ich es öffne
und an Deine Worte denke:
„Wenn Du traurig oder ärgerlich bist,
lausche dem Plätschern des Baches,
sieh wie die Vögel darin baden
und die Bienen um den Lavendel summen.
Lasse Deinen Blick in die Ferne schweifen,
denn wie schwer das Leben
auch manchmal sein mag,
sehe immer auch das Schöne
Und bedenke
Deine Seele ist wie ein Garten
und Du bist der Gärtner
Deiner Gedanken und Gefühle
gib Acht,
daß Zorn, Neid und Begierde nicht
die Liebe, das Wohlwollen und die Genügsamkeit
überwuchern und ersticken“

Der geschwungene Kiesweg führt
hinunter zur alten Gartenlaube
an der Deine geliebten Kletterrosen
noch immer empor ranken
und nun langsam verblühen
In Erinnerung,
sehe ich Deine großen Hände vor mir
wie Du die Steinplatten verlegt hast,
Hände, die uns so lange
gehalten und getragen haben
und die immer so warm waren.
Sieh nur,
die Pflastersteine
sind ganz bedeckt mit Rosenblüten,
ich will sie mit dem Besen wegfegen,
aber ich kann es nicht,
der Wind soll es tun, der Wind.
