Ingrid Baumgart-Fütterer

Santa Claus

Santa Claus, clad in red ermine-brimmed cloak,
was standing under a snow covered oak,
where he harnessed four reindeers to the sleigh
to prepare the journey for their long way.

He wanted to fulfil his yearly order,
and when he passed the heavenly border,
he started to distribute Christmas gifts
to numerous expectantly waiting kids.

Santa Claus showed a smiling that looked mild
and provoked tender feelings in each child,
they loved the saint, descending from heaven,
yearly, between five o clock and eleven.
