"This is the morning after"

This is the morning after
Dreams slept on roses' leaves
Day's drowned in light and laughter
With nothing underneath

I ripped my heart on passion
You drank my blood like wine
I kinda learned a lesson
Oh sweet, sweet valentine

Head shook once when I saw you
Heart bled until it dried
Was coming to forgive you
But said goodbye last night

No pain more until dawning
I'm wide awake it's morning
