At the Pond



At the Pond
 
The willows hang their greenish veil
down to the surface of the pond
to mirror their own beauty.
 
 
A swan sets proud its wings to sail,
its mate nears slowly to respond.
Anemonies nod with their pale
blooms in the wood beyond.
Spring did his duty.
