Ute Abele

With My False Eyes

I’ve looked so long
With my false eyes
Gravedigging
Life itself
Giving rise to
Suffering and pain

When some unknown grace
Sank in my heart and mind
I grasped a glimpse of wisdom
And got to comprehend

Now I yearn
To see with my true eyes
To resurrect
What I once slayed
And see it
In its Glory
