The yellow frontline
Be in the frontline and see,
how death has a strangle on us.
We are stuck forever, cannot flee,
the enemy is unleashing yellow dust.
We are waiting to be gassed,
wearing our masks for the ball.
Fighting for freedom we must,
but war is not the solution for us all.
Some soldiers around will never wake up,
somewhere artillery is saluting with death.
I am still alive, tired and covered with mud,
asking myself where I will do my last breath.
Why am I fighting against enemy troops?
Why am I shooting at my own kind?
Why are our heads in these loops?
Are we sane in our mind?
