Millefleurs

Fashion gimmicks change too fast
I’ve noticed since ages in the past.
In the sixties Millefleurs* was an unbelievable hit,
Dressed in flowery pattern everybody felt fit.
I happily used to wear them in all kinds of shade,
These countless blossoms never ever will fade.
Thousand and one flower covered the body night and day,
We spent our time in flower-patch-jeans and floral negligee.
Millefleurs in my women’s life I could never forget
Although various beautiful clothes sometimes we had.
In my wardrobe mountains would overflow with togs.
To do a good deed I gave it to several charity shops,
Oh, the colourful sea of flowers I want it again ad hoc,
Other fleeting fashion I do not miss round the clock …

… Perhaps it makes a successful comeback – the Millefleurs-epoch!
