Justine Knolle

Changing of the Seasons

I’ve put away my Summer tops,
And got out all my woolly knits –
My jumpers, gloves, hats and mits.
They are harvesting the Autumn crops:
The apples, grapes, the wheat and hops.

The beer is brewed.
The lamb is stewed.

Saddle the horses,
And polish your guns!
The hunting season has begun!
