Waves

The salty taste of my demise,

Really took me by surprise.

A day that should have been real nice,

Ends with me feeling like (I'm) being stabbed with ice.

Gurgling and gagging,

Frantically thrashing 'round and 'round,

Feeling like I don't make a sound.

Deafening silence,

Yet the cascading and whooshing is driving me mad.

Causing me to ask:

When will I finally be –
