Sue Honig

You

missing, always missing you

memories stay, making me blue

remembering great times, remembering you

why must it end, I have no clue

you built a wall, not letting me through

yet missing me – what can we do?

wait and forget is what you’ll do

heal and distract, no other option for you

for over a year I’m waiting, too

for over a year I suffer and rue

time does not heal, therefore I feel

my life is not complete without you

accept what is real, that is the deal

yet my subconscious never stops yearning for you
