Liquor

Ode to a boy

He wasn’t sure if he had

The right shoes

Free entrance for the shiny faces

Macho cases

Said I ping pong with my heart

River dry in my mind

Instead the liquor

No one cares about your heart

For their part

It’s the shoes you start with

Do you have a ticket

Do you have a secret

I have my own after shave

And a cigarette after shag

Now I need to beg

To let me in to let me in

I can’t reach you

I can’t reach you

I can hit you

Well I’ll see you in there little Pitts

Do I fit do I fit

Said I ping pong with my heart

River dry in my mind

Instead the liquor
