Inge Hoppe-Grabinger

You warm the cockles of my heart

You warm the cockles of my heart
you turn away the flying dart
you take my slump without a sigh
you don't slip off when I do cry

You charge my batteries for free
you walk around me boundlessly
You swirl around my darkest spots
you overturn my pointless dots

You act up sometimes for my sake
You warn me of somebody's fake
you look for me if I am sad
you take me back if I am too glad

You throw me down, encircling me
you care for me, relentlessly
you turn away the flying dart
you warm the cockles of my heart.
