La muerte y el verbo

Sólo en tu mundo. desdichado ser,
existe la finitud de la vida.
    Como a Prometeo, tu amigo,
Zeus condenara por tomar el fuego,
     al eterno ataque del águila,
       solamente a ti, hombre,
un dios castigó con la muerte,
      por haberte atrevido, el único,
                                                           a robarle el verbo.
