May H. Clinton or Obama win. Everybody will be better than G.W. Bush, dear Ingid. IŽm convinced! If interested, read my short story "Aengste eines jungen GI". YouŽll understand, what I mean. Yours sincerely Rainer Tiemann

Answer by Ingrid E. Patrick (08.01.2008):
Hi Rainer, Thank you for your comment. I don't think that much of Hillary. No doubt, she does a good job but the extra bonus she has is connected to her husband - we all want Billy back! So, Obama is the best choice. I will definitely read your story, but I can tell you that I fully understand your feelings. My first husband was in Vietnam and I will never forget the terrible memories that haunted him until his death, shortly after he came back home. Keep in touch. Greetings, Patty

Dear Patty,
we the neighbors oft the US are very much concerned about that election. I hope the people take it serios. Another type like bush would really finish that country. It has to gain confidence of the world again and leave his soldiers at home. America has the largest crime rate in the world and has the ambition to rule every country. It does not work anymore.

Greetings,
Karl-Heinz

Answer by Ingrid E. Patrick (07.01.2008):
Dear Karl-Heinz, I do share your concern about the US policy. I seems that a lot of people want to see Bush go. Like many others, I do, too. But is that fair? Does he really have that much power and influence or is he just a puppet on a string - someone who must present a decision made by others? Doesn't money rule the world? If so, then the decisions are made by just a few incredibly wealthy people. And how much room to change will that leave for the new candidate? Greetings Patty
