Comment from: Rolph David
Text: Hi Hermine,
I read your poem “The Spirit of Christmas”. I appreciate the effort you put into it and the imagery you created with the pines, snowflakes, and animals. The way you emphasise caring for others and sharing is clear and thoughtful.
Personally, I’m not a fan of Christmas, I am rather the grinchiest Grinch on this planet, so the festive spirit doesn’t resonate with me at all, but I can still recognise the intention and care behind your words. The rhythm and musicality, especially the “Ding Dong” lines, are catchy and give it a lively, traditional holiday feel.
Thanks for sharing your work.
Best,
Rolph
